John P. Dennis, Ph.D.

Background

John P. Dennis is a graduate of Saint Louis University and completed his postdoctoral fellowship under the direction of Aaron Beck and Greg Brown at the University of Pennsylvania’s Psychopathology Research Unit, where he provided individual cognitive-behavioral therapy and trained other mental health providers to deliver this treatment. He has also served as the project coordinator for two grant-funded clinical research projects at Uniformed Services University for the treatment of active-duty military personnel at-risk for suicide. His current clinical areas of focus are mood and anxiety disorders. In his spare time he competes in endurance sports and has been a member of the USA Men’s 24-Hour Track & Field team. Dr. Dennis sees patients in our Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD offices.
