Insurance

The majority of our patients receive some insurance reimbursement for our services. Capital Institute is not on any insurance provider panels and we do not accept insurance directly.  However, we will provide a monthly statement that you can submit to your insurance company.

We recommend that before you begin therapy you contact your insurance carrier to confirm that you have out-ot-network coverage for psychotherapy and to verify whether you need pre-approval.  If you are doing teletherapy, you should check that they will cover that.  You may also want to ask how much you can expect to receive in reimbursement.

Medicare

We do not accept Medicare and due to limitations imposed by Federal law, only some of our therapists can see Medicare patients.  If you have Medicare or expect to switch to Medicare in the near future, please let us know so that we can arrange for you to see a therapist who can see Medicare patients.  You will not be able to receive any reimbursement from Medicare.  If you have a supplemental policy, you may want to check if they provide any coverage.
