Background

Hyejin Jin is a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi and University of Washington. She completed her doctoral residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, where she worked at the Transitional Care Clinic and Student Counseling Center. Dr. Jin’s previous clinical experiences include Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services and South Mississippi State Hospital. She also has six years of experience leading Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-Informed skills groups in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Jin utilizes a collaborative and flexible approach to therapy to help her clients reach their treatment goals. She takes an integrative approach to treatment by flexibly using cognitive behavior therapy and DBT principles and techniques. Her clinical areas of focus include suicidality, OCD, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. She is conversationally fluent in Korean. In her spare time, she enjoys building Lego sets, taking care of her plants, and playing with her dog. Dr. Jin is licensed as a Psychologist in Washington, DC and Maryland. She sees patients in both locations.
