Gareth Harrison, Psy.D., MBA
Gareth Harrison, Psy.D., MBA (Postdoctoral Fellow), is a graduate of Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology and their School of Business Administration. Dr. Harrison completed his doctoral internship at the La Salle University Student Counseling Center and worked as an adjunct extern at the CBT Center for Anxiety & OCD (both in Philadelphia, PA) as well as in several other settings. Dr. Harrison has experience working with a range of psychological difficulties, with his clinical interests centering on anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anger, and significant life transitions. He uses an integrative approach, blending various evidence-based treatments and techniques such as CBT, ERP, and acceptance- and compassion-based therapies to fit his client’s needs. Before beginning his clinical psychology training, Dr. Harrison worked for six years in relationship management, new business development, and new product development in multiple private sector organizations. Dr. Harrison leverages this distinctive combination of experience and expertise when working with all clients, and especially those who find their work lives impacted by their difficulties. Dr. Harrison sees patients in both the Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD offices, and virtually. In his spare time, Dr. Harrison enjoys playing golf and ice hockey, as well as spending time with his family.
